As a Minnesota business and staffing software company, we’re always looking for ways in which we can have fun at the office, while also being more involved with the local community.
Last week, we had an idea. Why not take a fun holiday like Halloween, and pair it with a fundraising challenge, to raise money for local charities? So we did just that. Throughout the week, Avionte employees nominated fellow coworkers to dress in costumes and placed their “bids” on the costume nominations, with the goal of building the bids up as high as they could!
We challenged Avionte clients to participate in our Halloween fundraising challenge too, by sending us photos of their “Most Creative Client”, “Most Outrageous Client”, “Best Dressed Client Group”, and “Best Dressed Client Pet” costumes.
The winner in each category will recieve $500 from the Avionte Hope Foundation to donate to the charity of their choice.
Our employees came to the office with all kinds of fun costumes this Halloween, including The Avionte Spice Girls, My Little Pony, Rosie the Riveter, and more! Our CFO Mark Young won the challenge by raising the most bids and and by coming to the office dressed as Baby Spice. He’s chosen to give the $725 raised to Smile Network International, an organization that provides life-altering surgeries and health care services to impoverished children and adults in developing nations.
In addition to the Smile Network International, the Avionte Hope Foundation has partnered with other local charities in the past few months. We’ve partnered with Clare Housing to sponsor their annual fundraising breakfast, and with Pillsbury United Communities to help provide laptops and other items for their computer labs.
