“The Roaring 20’s”: Year-end Party at the Caves

This year’s year-end company party took place at the Wabasha Street Caves in St. Paul, Minnesota, on January 19th, and WOW – what an amazing time it was!! It’s been a little over a week now since the party and we’ve began to settle back into routine here at Avionte, after a busy transition into the new year. But just as our party was, there’s never a shortage of energy, or a dull moment, at the Avionte office; At Avionte, we work hard and play hard, every day.

Our party’s theme was “The Roaring 20’s”, so many of our employees, along with their spouses and significant others, came dressed in fun flapper costumes, pinstripe suits, boas and more!

The night began with a few drinks and two cave tours. A costumed tour guide took us into the caves and told us stories about their significance during the prohibition era. After the cave tours, we all gathered around the buffet tables to eat. Before the party, our employees had been placed on teams to compete in the activites we’d set up, and after dinner, the team activities began. We had a karaoke competition, a video game challenge, a swing dancing showcase and a relay race!

Our employees rocked at the karaoke, and the swing dancing was a big hit! It was great to see co-workers really let loose on the dance floor! The activity segment of the night wrapped up with a drawing for prizes, and every employee walked away with a gift!

The night went by so fast and was so much fun, that many of us continued to hang out, well past bar close. It was clear from the energy of the night – and from the success of the event overall – how much we’ve bonded, and are continuing to bond, as a team! Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night a great one!
