As we approach our final days of July, our Nepal team has nominated their employee of the month, Nawaraj Singh Thakuri! Nawaraj works in our services department on our upgrade team, helping to upgrade databases, core applications and web portals.

Well, my trip is winding down now and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to head back to the good old U.S. of A to my home, family and friends.

Last week, I was able to experience Saree shopping and festival in Nepal. Both were awesome! On Monday, I started out my second work week. I was able to do some more training and quizzing with our new hires in the morning and then we took the whole crew out to lunch.

Well my second weekend was certainly no less interesting or adventurous than the first. After a great first week at the office, I was ready to explore more of what Kathmandu had to offer.

Well, my first full week is almost over. I feel like I’ve experienced more this week than I have in the last five years of my life! All at once, it seems like it’s been a year since I landed, but it also feels like it was just five minutes ago.

One of my favorite things about being out of the country? The news. That’s right, it occurred to me this morning that exactly 20 years ago, on election day, I was in France watching the news regarding the 1992 election and the predictions, etc. related to it.
