The Avionte Hope Foundation’s Gift to the Philippines

Last month, after one of the biggest typhoons ever recorded hit the Philippines on November 7, 2013, Avionte’s Technical QA Engineer Alex Jonson reached out to Avionte employees and spoke with the Avionte Hope Foundation to see if there was anything we could do to help out with the cause. With millions of people displaced and a death count of 6,000 and rising, there was a big push for medical items, toiletries, dry goods, and more.

Many Avionte employees donated money and supplies, and $1,230 was donated through the Avionte Hope Foundation to go toward the relief effort. The typhoons hit close to home for Alex, who has many family members living who are living in the Philippines.
