2020 Staffing Industry Statistics: Week 46
Week 46 was a disappointing week across most of the major indices, further supporting my worry of a general slowdown. Assignments and Hours were off by 1.6% and 1.7% respectively. Gross was only moderately off and Total Billing did manage to increase a little. Below are the numbers.
This week’s staffing industry statistics: Week 46
The most positive statistic was New Talent, popping up 2.9%. This is the third time in the last four weeks to post an increase of at least that amount. The notion of the increased New Talent (i.e. individuals that are applying to the agency) might be an indication of societal interest in working as a contingent worker.
As noted last week, the 4-week average for the main indices continue to drift down, supporting the feel of “leveling off” on our historical growth rate.
