Product Owner

Avionte is transforming staffing and recruiting software and we've transformed how we build it. Our AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) means engineering teams move faster than ever. That changes what a great Product Owner looks like.

In this environment, you're not primarily a story writer: you're an intent definer, an output validator, and a fast decision-maker. AI can generate stories from requirements, produce code from acceptance criteria, and synthesize customer feedback at scale. Your job is to supply the judgment it can't: sharp prioritization, clear customer context, and fast feedback on whether what got built is actually right.

This role sits within the Product Management organization and works closely with a Group Product Manager to maintain a healthy backlog and drive sprint-level execution.

What You'll Do
  • Define the intent behind features with enough clarity that AI-assisted development pipelines can act on it — precise outcomes, constraints, and acceptance criteria over exhaustive specification
  • Own and maintain the team backlog — prioritizing work that's ready to build and sequencing it to feed a continuous delivery cycle
  • Validate AI-generated outputs — review generated stories, acceptance criteria, and prototypes for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer needs
  • Partner with your Group Product Manager to connect sprint-level work to product strategy and measurable outcomes
  • Lead sprint ceremonies: planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives — keeping the team focused and unblocked
  • Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to gather input, validate assumptions, and close feedback loops quickly
  • Collaborate with QA and engineering to define quality gates and support release sign-off
  • Use AI tools actively — to accelerate discovery synthesis, draft requirements, analyze patterns in feedback, and keep documentation current
  • Support internal enablement on new features and releases
What You'll Need
  • 3+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a closely related software product role
  • Ability to communicate with precision — in an AIDLC environment, the quality of your input shapes the quality of what gets built
  • Experience writing acceptance criteria and functional requirements that engineering and QA can act on without back-and-forth
  • Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum teams using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar
  • Comfort with fast iteration cycles — able to validate, give feedback, and re-prioritize quickly
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Active user of AI tools (Claude, Copilot, or similar) — we expect POs to use AI in their daily work, not just be aware of it
  • Experience in staffing, HCM, workforce technology, or enterprise SaaS is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
