Last week, nearly 50 of our employees volunteered a total of nearly 400 hours while participating in our week-long build with the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity chapter.
This is the third year that Avionté has partnered with Habitat for Humanity – Twin Cities to help build a home for a family in need in St. Paul, Minnesota. We had a blast!
We’ve loved volunteering with Habitat for Humanity over the years, as the organization emulates the Avionté Hope Foundation‘s main goal of helping people help themselves, and driving towards positive change in the local area. Check out photos of our week working at the Habitat site on our Facebook page here.
And to celebrate a successful build week, Avionté signed up to be one of the key sponsors at the Habitat for Humanity – Twin Cities YPN fundraising event called Raise a Glass for Tomorrow held last Friday, September 25th.
Here’s a fun photo of our employees at the event:
See what some of our employees had to say about the volunteer experience below:
“It was such an amazing experience to share with the team, the future homeowners, and the other volunteers!”
– Sarah Lowrie
“It’s great to be able to help someone in need while doing fun hands-on activities.”
– Lucas Zwieg
About the Avionté Hope Foundation:
The Avionté Hope Foundation (AHF) is the nonprofit arm of Avionté staffing software, and encourages Avionté employees to use up to three Hope Days to volunteer with the charitable organization of their choice. The Avionté Hope committee also sets up many volunteer opportunities, like the Twin Cities Habitat build, throughout the year to help employees find opportunities of interest to them.
So far this year, the foundation has donated over 50,000 dollars locally and over 20,000 to Nepal to fund earthquake relief efforts, and Avionté employees have spent nearly 600 hours volunteering throughout the community.
