Avionté Interviewed by Minnesota-Based News Station, Fox 9 KMSP

Yesterday, a team from Fox 9 News (Fox 9 KMSP) dropped by the Avionté office to talk with our CEO John Long and other members of the team.

The focus of the story? According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the size of Minnesota’s tech workforce jumped 8.36 percent in the last six months, making it the fastest-growing state for technology jobs. This places Minnesota as the nation leader in tech job growth, landing above California, New York and Texas on the list, according to Fox’s Reporter Courtney Godfrey.

“All the medical device and fortune 500 companies are definitely helping to boost the numbers,” said Godfrey. “But it’s also the smaller companies that are helping to put Minnesota on the map.”

That’s where Avionté comes in. Avionté’s grown 30 percent growth year after year, pulling top-line numbers, and is continually hiring to keep up with the demand. Avionté currently has 107 employees working out of the Avionté office, and will be expanding its office space later this year to account for the 45 new jobs it has added in the past year.

In the Avionte Fox 9 interview, our CEO John Long said keeping up with the growth is the number one challenge.

“If we have talented people here, we keep them…” CEO John Long. “We’re growing 30 percent a year, top-line numbers. That puts a lot of pressure on making sure we can find and retain the right talent.”

Earlier this year, Avionté was recognized on the Inc. 5000 list as a fastest-growing company for the fourth year in a row, placing among 48 other top Minnesota technology firms. Avionté earned the 2288th spot on Inc. 5000 list, with 3-year growth of 170 percent, a 2014 revenue of $11.3 M, and 45 new Minnesota software jobs added.

Avionté currently provides staffing software solutions to over 300 customers and nearly 10,000 users. The company will celebrate its 10-year anniversary this November.
