8th Annual Avionté Client Connection Forum, Day One Recap

At Avionté’s 8th Annual Client Connection Forum (CCF), more than 400 Avionté clients, partners and employees gathered to network, learn and grow in knowledge of the staffing industry and how to capitalize on Avionté staffing software to maximize success. This year’s event, “Elev8”, hosted the Marriott City Center in downtown Minneapolis, had three key themes: optimize, elevate, thrive – with the overall goal to help clients flourish in their roles from recruiters to sales.

The first day of Client Connection Forum lived up to these themes through multiple roundtable and breakout sessions, an opening Product Address focused on the next generation of Avionté and an announcement of the Google for Jobs product update.

To start off the day, Rachel Graff, Customer Solutions Manager, and Tony Poetz, Technical Writing Manager, took the stage to kick off the event and introduce Jami Klotz, Vice President of Product Management, and Dana Senn, Director of Product Management, who presented for the Product Address.

Avionte Client Connection Forum Opening AddressKlotz started by sharing where Avionté has come since the last year, including the 16.2 and 17.1 releases with the launch of the Recruiter, Talent and Job Board Modules and a suite of new features and enhanced functionality to help teams become more efficient. These features included faster resume parsing, advanced Boolean searching, fully mobile application for all Workflows, up to five personalized Themes, up to five Job Boards, up to five unique Application Workflows, integrated social media sharing on Job Postings, SEO-friendly Job Board URLs and unique Job Posting URLs. From there, Klotz addressed the evolution of Avionté and where it is headed to give clients software that enables them to be successful and grows with them, as their business grows or needs change.

“We want to make an evolution that makes sense for your business,” Klotz said. “If we can make things better, faster and easier [for you], that’s huge.”

Dana Senn Avionte Client Connection ForumFrom there, Senn took the stage to discuss upcoming features and functionality planned for the rest of 2017 and where the Avionté Development roadmap is headed into 2018. With paperless onboarding being a huge benefit for staffing agencies, she shared the concept of Talent Tasks and how Avionté is currently working on giving clients a solution to get more applicants into their database faster while still being able to follow up with additional tasks.

Avionte Client Connection Forum Product AddressWhen finished, she passed the stage back to Jami, who made the exciting product announcement of the Google for Jobs integration. By using job posting structured data markup and sitemaps, Avionté will directly integrate with Google to ensure the best visibility for clients’ job postings. For anyone’s job postings on 17.1, jobs will start to automatically index to Google for Jobs.

“We’ve invested 20% in R&D. The overall years of experience that we’ve added in the last year is 70 years,” Klotz said. “Why does that matter to you? We’re not just hiring… we’re hiring quality people that have the best interest of the product in mind.”

This announcement led to the discussion of Avionté’s commitment to R&D and the importance of client feedback to help shape the future of Avionté.

Once the Product Address completed, everyone gathered in the atrium for a group photo before heading out to various roundtable and breakout sessions. Sessions focused on a variety of topics including company culture, sourcing, marketing strategies, employee retention, the millennial workforce, compliance, paperless onboarding as well as focused Avionté sessions on the Recruiter Module, the Job Board Module, the Support Center and Avionté Partnerships.

On day one, the Minnesota Room on the Marriott’s 6th floor also included tables with representatives from nearly every department and thirteen of Avionté’s partners were also positioned at tables in on the Atrium level of the Marriott.

The day wrapped up at 4:30 p.m. and then continued with an evening event at Brit’s Pub. Clients, employees and partners gathered to enjoy appetizers, beverages and lawn bowling on Brit’s infamous rooftop lawn. It was a great day topped off with a great evening!
