Week 44 was a mostly down week in all major categories. However, I don’t believe the week was as unsuccessful as it might seem to have been on the surface.
This week’s staffing industry statistics: Week 44
As represented, this was a down week, particularly with gross and total billing. I think the biggest factor, though, is that this week is the first week of the month. Thus, our week-over-week stats are being compared to the last week of the month where a sizable amount of checks and invoices are included. For August through September, we saw an average of 3.6% drop in the first week. As such, I believe this was a slightly down week, but not overly so.
In reviewing the manufacturing data, I am still optimistic about continued growth in general. Hopefully, we will still be able to remain open during this large resurgence in COVID cases.
