Why Passwordless Sign-In Matters for Talent Engagement

Talent doesn’t think about your platform the way your team does. They’re not logging in daily to manage a pipeline. They’re opening the app between shifts, on a break, or in a parking lot before an assignment starts, and they expect to be in and moving within seconds.

Avionté Mobile has always been built around that expectation. SmartLink already gets talent into the app instantly; no password required, whenever they arrive through a shared link. The one gap was the moment talent opened the app on their own, from memory, outside a SmartLink. That path still asked for a password.

Auth0 closes that gap. Talent verifies their identity with a one-time code instead, so every path into Avionté Mobile now moves at the same speed, whether talent arrives through a SmartLink or opens the app directly.

How Sign-In Works in Avionté Mobile

Talent who are already logged in aren’t affected when Auth0 is enabled. Once someone logs out and signs back in, they’ll use the Auth0 verification flow thereafter.

• Signing in with a one-time code. When talent opens the app and enters their email address or phone number, Auth0 sends a six-digit verification code. They enter the code on the Verify Your Identity screen to access their account. The code expires quickly, so talent should enter it as soon as it arrives. If a code doesn’t arrive, talent can select Resend on the verification screen or check that the email address or phone number on file is correct.
• Talent who sign in by email receive their code from Avionté Mobile.
• Talent who sign in with a phone number receive their code by text message.
• Signing in with SmartLink. Talent who access Avionté Mobile via a SmartLink skip verification entirely. They’re taken directly into the app without a password or code, keeping high-intent moments, like tapping a link to confirm a shift, completely frictionless.
• Signing in with a username and password. For talent who prefer it, username and password login is still supported alongside the passwordless options.
• Creating a new account. New talent uses the same passwordless flow to sign up. The Create Your Account screen collects an email address, phone number, and username, and talent verify their identity with a one-time code before entering the app. The email address and phone number entered during account creation automatically prepopulate the job application form, so talent isn’t asked to re-enter information they’ve already provided.

Fewer passwords mean fewer problems for talent, and fewer problems for talent mean fewer problems for your team.

• Support volume drops. Forgotten passwords and locked accounts are two of the most common talent support requests. Removing passwords from the equation eliminates those requests.
